PlayStation 5 sales pass 40m
Sony has sold in excess of 40m PlayStation 5 consoles.
Figures released in April stated the company had sold 38m PlayStation 5 consoles. At the end of December last year, that total stood at 32m, meaning a further 6m have been sold in the past seven months.
"With the support of PlayStation fans, we have reached a milestone of 40m PS5 consoles sold through to gamers since launch," Sony's Jim Ryan said. "Thank you so much to our community of gamers - without you this would have been an impossible task."
